🎵 Attendance Expectations
Consistency matters! Regular attendance helps students build skills, confidence, and community. We encourage families to prioritize attending all scheduled classes.
Absences
- If your child will be absent, please notify us as soon as possible.
- One make-up class will be offered per session for absence due to illness or family emergency.
Cancellations
- If Monadnock Music Makers must cancel a class due to weather, illness, or emergencies, families will be notified via email and website updates.
- Make‑up classes will be offered when possible.
🎶 Behavior Guidelines
We strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and joyful learning environment. All participants are expected to:
Show Respect
- Treat instructors, peers, instruments, and the learning space with care.
- Listen when others are speaking or performing.
Participate Positively
- Engage in activities to the best of their ability.
- Follow instructions and contribute to a supportive group atmosphere.
Use Instruments Responsibly
- Handle all instruments—personal or provided—with care.
- Only play instruments when instructed to do so.
Behavior Concerns
If a student’s behavior disrupts learning or safety:
- The instructor will redirect the student.
- If issues continue, the parent/guardian will be contacted.
- Persistent concerns may result in temporary or permanent removal from the program.
🛡️ Safety Procedures
Supervision
- Students must be checked in and out by a parent/guardian unless prior arrangements are made.
- Instructors supervise students only during scheduled program times.
Health & Wellness
- Please keep your child home if they are ill or showing symptoms of contagious conditions.
- Notify us of any allergies, medical needs, or accommodations your child may require.
Emergency Procedures
- In the event of an emergency, staff will contact parents/guardians immediately after ensuring the child’s safety.
- If necessary, emergency services will be called.
Facility Safety
- Students must remain in designated program areas.
- Running, roughhousing, or unsafe behavior is not permitted.
- Personal belongings should be kept in a safe place; Monadnock Music Makers is not responsible for lost items.
Instrument Safety
- Students should transport instruments safely and store them properly during class.
- Damaged program‑owned instruments must be reported immediately.
